Alachua County Tax Collector – Campaign Coordinator Stephanie Kelley

  • Raised over $1,100 selling raffle tickets for community donated items
  • Informs all new hires of United Way and its programs
  • Held extensive “Thank You” campaign to community donors

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Damage Recovery Unit - Campaign Coordinator Jenna White

  • 97% employee participation
  • Raised over $13,000

Grandiflora – Campaign Coordinator Alex Gillespie, Co-Coordinator Heather

  • Promoted employees giving volunteer time through a field day event
  • Distributed information about various volunteer opportunities to employees
  • Nearly 50% of employees donated

Winner:

AvMed – Campaign Coordinators Christian Long & Jennifer Blades

  • Sponsored a "We, Not Me" campaign to promote AvMed Lives United program
  • Raised over 12,000 food items and children’s books in their employee food and book drive
  • Donated over $75,000 through payroll donations, leadership givers and other donations
  • Doubled their monetary donation goal

Runner Ups:

Alachua County Library District – Campaign Coordinator Stephanie Ksionzyk

  • Held food drives at the 6 local library branches
  • Raised over $1,400 in change drives at the library branches
  • Raised over $10,000 in donations from employees

O2B Kids – Campaign coordinator Emmy Vincent
  • Raised over 1200 lbs. of food in their special project, the Weekend Hunger Backpack Program, which provides food for children on Alachua County School District’s free/reduced lunch program
  • Tripled their monetary donations and employee participation for the previous year

Winner:

Gainesville Regional Utilities – Campaign Coordinator Nona Jones

  • Promoted United WAy year round through campaign events beginning in February
  • Contacted almost 100% of employees face-to-face to promote United Way donations
  • Raised over $60,000 dollars and a matching corporate gift, with ten new leadership givers from last year

Category: Florida State Employees' Charitable Campaign

Winner:

North Florida Evaluation and Treatment Center - Campaign Coordinator Mitch Coulton

  • Held a book drive in the cafeteria that was promoted via email to all employees
  • Sold Harvest Leaves to employees
  • Thank you dinner/breakfast to donors
  • Raised over $20,000 through employee donations and leadership gifts

Runner Up:

Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services - Campaign Coordinators Debra Martinez, Steve Hildebrandt & Amber Totten

  • Hosted year-round programs encouraging donations and promoting United Way
  • Had a visible donation chart for competition between different areas
  • Raised over $11,000 through creative donation events
