More than just taxes....

United Way has expanded our local Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. Volunteers are trained and certified by the IRS to assist low-income working families to file their taxes, and more specifically, apply for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). Last year, more than 150 volunteers helped bring more than $1.6 million back into our community through this program.

By offering free income tax preparation servivces at more than 20 sites in six counties, we are working to help low-to-moderate income working families file their taxes for free, and much more.  Taxpayers can pre-qualify and apply for benefits like SNAP, Florida KidCare, etc.
