What do I need to do first to have my taxes
prepared for FREE?

The first step is to call United Way at 2-1-1 or 352-331-2800 to schedule a convenient appointment at the
location nearest you. If your family made less than $49,000 in income in 2009, you should qualify for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) free service. This could mean up to $4,800 extra back from the IRS when you file your taxes.

Filing electronically is the fastest way to receive a refund payment. To file electronically on a merried-filing-jointly tax return, both spouses must be present to sign the required
forms.

Don't forget that Thursday, April 15, 2010, is the last
day to file your 2009 taxes!
