Interested in helping with VITA?

Volunteers are needed to assist in tax preparation! There are no requirements for becoming a VITA volunteer other than to train (in the classroom or online) and to become certified- no tax knowledge is needed! We also ask volunteers to commit to a certain amount of hours/shifts per week usually in the evenings and/or Saturdays. A personal laptop is ideal but not required.

To train online you must certify at the Basic and Intermediate Level. Follow these instructions for the Link & Lean on www.irs.gov

Classroom Training:
VITA Training Dates: at Reitz Union Room 282. Please bring a laptop.
Wednesday, January 20th from 5:30 – 9:00pm
Thursday, January 21st from 5:30 – 9:00pm
Friday, January 22nd, from 5:30 – 9:00pm
Saturday, January 23rd, from 8:00 – 6:00pm
