Elementary Essentials:  a children's clothing drive
The 2011/2012 school year is here! For many children, this is a time of shopping for new clothes and shoes and school supplies. But for families who struggle to make ends meet, this time of year is challenging. Children in our community are coming to school without proper uniforms, socks and even underwear, creating issues within our schools. Lack of underwear even poses a health concern.

Members of the Women's Leadership Council raised $1,055 in only 10 days in order to give local schools donations towards basic clothing essentials for students.  Congrats ladies!

After recent news coverage of this terrible problem in our schools, the community has responded!  We have re-opened the Elementary Essentials campaign and are looking to reach our next goal of another $2,500.  Pledge through the link below if you are looking to help!
