Overview of United Way of North Central Florida:  
The United Way of North Central Florida has recently completed a strategic planning process which will guide the organization’s work (2007-2010) with five strategic objectives.  First and foremost, striving to create significant impact in this community.  To achieve this impact at a community level, we also must:  Expand our Reach by broadening and deepening engagement, increasing our differentiation, enhancing relationships and doing all of this with excellence.  It requires collaboration that leads to identification of priorities, agreement on how the problems will be solved and ultimately alignment of resources around these problems and strategies. We will explore all opportunities to mobilize investors in targeted accounts/segments in support of the community impact agenda to match investors with results.  Additionally we will define and develop high-impact partnerships with traditional and non-traditional partners and engage them around priority issues, shared strategies and resource development activities.  

The organization began a strategic transformation or ‘journey’ in 2003 and continues the journey with the recent strategic plan.  Early indicators of this organization’s success can be seen in a campaign that has increased in a number of areas including a 28% Campaign growth over 5 year period.  The Tocqueville Society (major giving) has grown from 6 Families in 2003 to 23 members currently while the Leadership Giving Society has grown in membership 47% and in revenue 73%.

United Way of North Central Florida is seeking a dynamic goal oriented professional to serve as VP, Development.  Successful candidate will have a proven track record, in sales/fund raising,  of developing and enhancing relationships to increase an organization’s revenue while deploying strategies appropriate for various market segments.
