Small Business Spotlight - Anna Olcese

Anna Olcese, Team Dynamo at Keller Williams Realty Gainesville

1. Tell us about your business; and what is your business philosophy?
Team Dynamo is the area’s top-producing real estate team because of our relationships: with each other, with our customers, and with members of our community. Strong relationships are founded on trust, and customers and business partners alike trust us to do the right thing for them and their loved ones. Our goal is to provide service for life to all customers by being a leader in the marketplace, maintaining an active role in every transaction, and providing support to each other as well as to our customers and friends. We are partners, friends, and advocates.

It is only fitting that we are now part of Keller Williams Realty because at the core of Keller Williams is a conviction that who you are in business with matters. We believe that the company we keep can contribute to our lives in untold ways. We even have a belief system that guides how we treat each other and how we do business. The KW mission is to build careers worth having, businesses worth owning, and lives worth living, and our values emphasize God, family, and then business.

2. Why are you passionate about your commitment to United Way’s Community Investment Fund?
As Hillary Clinton famously said, “It takes a village.” I’m a firm proponent of that idea. One person may attempt, and even succeed, at doing something great by him or herself. But working together as a team makes the likelihood of success even greater.
We all are part of this community, and if we all do a little bit to help one another then we’ll accomplish a lot…and we’ll help more people in the process. Synergy at it’s best.

As you can see from my business, I believe in the power of teams!

3. What is something interesting or surprising that most people don’t know about you?
Spanish is my first language. My parents are Cuban, and I grew up in Miami speaking only Spanish with my grandmother, who lived with us. If you watch my TEDxUF talk you’ll learn all about her and her influence in my life.

4. What would your older self tell your younger self?
Travel as much as you can, especially when you’re young.

5. Favorite quote?
"What you are is God's gift to you. What you become is your gift to God."
