Angela moved to Gainesville in 2014 from her hometown of Sarasota, FL to attend the University of Florida. In spring 2017, Angela received her Bachelors of Science in Public Relations with an outside concentration in Psychology.
While studying for her degree, she was Secretary for the University of Florida’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and was a frank Ambassador turned Student Stage Manager for the frank Gathering conference, a public-interest communications conference held in Gainesville annually.
During her final year at UF, Angela worked as an Apprentice at a local marketing and advertising company and transitioned into a Social Media Content Creator position at Gainesville Harley-Davidson. Shortly after graduating, Angela joined the United Way of North Central Florida team as the Communications Specialist. Angela is also the proud mother of a very wise cat, a male gray cat named Aristotle.

Why I do this work: Being in communications was a no brainer for me, considering that I’ve always been a chatty person. But it wasn’t until I was a part of frank as a Student Stage Manager and taking a Public-Interest Communications class that my passion for helping others truly came out. From both experiences I realized the needs of the other side of communities that we don’t often think or know much about.
