What is VITA?
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program offers FREE tax help to taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified taxpayers. Taxpayers can earn up to $6,269 from their earned income tax credit (EITC).
VITA is 100 percent FREE.
Qualified taxpayers can include, but is not limited to:
- Those who make $54,000 or less
- Those with disabilities
- Those with limited English
