ReadingPals Coordinator (Full-Time)

At United Way North Central Florida, we believe every child deserves the chance to enter school ready to learn and succeed. One of the ways we help make this possible is through ReadingPals, a volunteer-based early literacy initiative in partnerships with the Children's Movement of Florida.

We are excited to announce that we are hiring a full-time ReadingPals Coordinator to lead this impactful program in our community.

About the Role

The ReadingPals Coordinator will:

  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers who mentor young children (pre-k through third grade) to build foundational reading skills.
  • Collaborate with early learning centers, schools, and community partners to ensure children in our community can participate safely and successfully.
  • Track and celebrate each child's progress while ensuring safe environments through risk management practices.
  • Collect and report program data to share the impact of ReadingPals with partners and funders.
  • Work closely with our fundraising team to grow and sustain this program so more children can benefit from one-on-one literacy support.
