Our Goal:

Children are born healthy and enter school ready to be successful and graduate from school on time.

Strategy:

We partner to promote healthy developmental growth of children by strengthening caregivers and early learning/childcare center. Ensuring school readiness and K-12 academic success with students graduating high school on time, and with the knowledge, skills and credentials to obtain family-sustaining employment.

Episcopal Children's Services

Early Education This program provides early education to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers who are either living in a low-income household, have a disability, living in foster care, or experiencing homelessness. The program ensures that children learn and develop in high-quality environments while giving their families the ability to work, enhance their own education or develop skills through job training.

Gainesville Area Community Tennis Association (GACTA)

Aces in Motion Middle School Academy

This program provides high-quality and accessible after-school programs for under-resourced middle and high school students. By using a positive youth development framework, Aces in Motion is longitudinal in nature & focuses on providing consistent support to low-income youth to help them achieve college/career readiness and post-secondary success.

Gilchrist County School District

Pre-K Scholarship Program This program provides scholarships for disadvantaged families who have children enrolled in free half-day VPK and need childcare costs to cover the remaining half of the day. 

Girl's Place

ACHIEVE This program provides year-round quality academic support and intervention for the students during out of school time by encouraging a passion for learning, providing engaging experiences, homework assistance and comprehension, and intervention in small groups or on an individual basis, as needed.

Project YouthBuild

Credit Retreival This program provides students in the program the opportunity to earn their high school diploma. The staff work in partnership with the student's former school to analyze their transcripts and retain as many eligible credits as soon as possible to transfer to Project YouthBuild's educational partner, Penn Foster High School, the nation's largest online high school education provider.

Kids Count

Kids Count Reading Tutoring Program This program serves kindergarten through 3rd grade students from low-income areas who need extra support to reach their full potential. Provides effective after-school programming that includes one-on-one reading tutoring, character and social skill development, as well as engaging enrichment opportunities.
The Education Foundation Take Stock in Children This program breaks the cycle of poverty by providing a pathway that allows low-income, at-risk students to stay in school, graduate from high school, complete college or technical school and go on to become productive citizens.
