Our Women's Leadership Council Holiday Fundraising Luncheon was held on November 20th at the Gainesville Country Club. 200 women were in attendance and shopped from 20 vendors. On October 24, more than 120 volunteers from the Gainesville area gave their time to beautify and weatherize Alachua County schools.
 
Volunteers came from companies such as: Nationwide, AvMed, Macy's, Alachua County Library, Carr, Riggs & Ingram, Publix, Alachua County Fire Rescue and more. Eight members of the Alachua County Facilities Office came to help on their day off.

On Friday, October 24, 2014, we will be holding our annual Day of Action. Partnering with the Alachua County School Board, we will be weatherizing and beautifying schools in the local area. Last year's event was a success, and we hope to impact even more schools this year.

On Friday, June 20, we held our annual Day of Action. Now in its sixth year, United Way Day of Action is an invitation for people and organizations around the world to LIVE UNITED. It is a day that we ask you to help us put our mission into action by improving the building blocks for a good quality life- education, income, and health.
