Scott Gamble, Printing Consultant of Alta Systems, Inc.

1.      Tell us about your business; and what is your business philosophy?

Alta Systems is a leader in providing professional printing solutions that help grow our clients’ business. We operate in the North Central Florida region and continue to innovate and add to the long list of products and services, such as mailing and apparel, that we offer. Having been in business for more than 30 years, we believe that compassionate caring for our clients and employees is at the core of our success.

2.      Why are you passionate about your commitment to United Way’s Community Investment Fund?

Alta feels that the health of the community is reflected in the health and wellbeing of its members. The United Way Community Investment Fund stands out as an initiative that can touch lives across the diversity, gender and socio-economic spectrum with one commitment. Having ridden “the bus” and witnessed our support in action, we encourage all to make similar commitments.

3.      What is something interesting or surprising that most people don’t know about you?

As a sales professional one might not realize that while I enjoy public speaking and thrive on human interaction, sometimes the simple one-on-one conversations fluster me. Also a part-owner, with my wife, of East End Eatery celebrating 10 years next year.

4.      What would your older self tell your younger self?

Great question – I would tell the younger me that everything will work itself out as it should. Push hard for what you believe in ethically and morally, do what you can for the betterment of others. However, let the universe take care of the rest.

5.      Favorite quote?

This reminder was a life-changer for me when it came across in an email back in 2006: “It’s never too late to be what you might have been.” A quote attributed to George Elliot – a pen name for Mary Ann Evans.
