Small Business Partner - The JAG Agency

Tricia Garzon of The JAG Agency

1. Tell us about your business; and what is your business philosophy?

The JAG Agency is a full service marketing and advertising agency helping businesses effectively create a brand identity and to identify and properly communicate with their intended audiences. We strive to provide the highest level of client service with experience and integrity.

2. Why are you passionate about your commitment to United Way’s Community Investment Fund?

I have been passionate about volunteering and supporting my community since elementary school, participating in the AHA Jump Rope for Heart and March of Dimes Walk-a-thon.  Over the years I have actively participated in more activities than I can count. Today as a business owner, while I continue contribute as a volunteer to as many as I can, I know how much these organizations need funds to do the amazing work they do.  The United Way Small Business Program allows smaller business like mine to make a much bigger impact by leveraging our contributions with matching grants. It’s beyond gratifying and rewarding to know that these funds are helping people right here in our community, our friends and neighbors.

3. What is something interesting or surprising that most people don’t know about you?

I am a Gainesville native and lifelong Gator fan!

4. What would your older self say to your younger self?

My older self would tell my younger self to play more sports!  I’m blessed that my kids are actively involved in several different sports so I see the many aspects of character building that these activities provide.

5. What’s your favorite quote?

Some people dream of success, while other people get up every morning and make it happen. - Wayne Huizenga
