Small Business Spotlight- UF Mover Guys

Brad Stumpff, Operations Manager at UF Mover Guys

1. Tell us about your business; and what is your business philosophy?
UF Mover Guys is a premier moving company in the Gainesville area offering a variety of services for both residential and commercial moves. From packing, to loading, to furniture assembly, UF Mover Guys provides all the essential services needed to make your move as stress-free as possible. We also offer a 100% repair and replacement policy for your move which is unmatched anywhere else in Gainesville.  Our business philosophy is to be honest and upfront with all of our customers. We only hire movers we would feel comfortable having in our own homes.

2. Why are you passionate about your commitment to United Way’s Community Investment Fund?
Given that both my business partner, Jordan Speisman and I grew up with parents who were educators, we have an immense amount of respect for organizations that give back to education. The Community Investment Fund does just this and we couldn’t be prouder to be a part of it.

3. What is something interesting or surprising that most people don’t know about you?
About 3 years ago, I made a huge career switch from being a K12 school administrator to the moving industry.

4. What would your older self tell your younger self?
Life is good. Not always, but mostly. And when it is not so good, it will get better.

5. Favorite quote?
“May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds.” -Edward Abbey
